DESERT CHALLENGE 2016

This year’s Desert Challenge was held May 11-15 in Phoenix Arizona. This event is part of the IPC Athletics Grand Prix and 2 members of the Go Get Dem Racing Club took home gold! Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe, a 3 time Paralympian, won Gold in the 200m T54 category while up and comer, Maclean Atsu Dzidzienyo, won an impressive 3 gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m races in the T53 category.

Upon their return to Ghana Raphael and Maclean met with the Ministry of Youth & Sports the Honorable Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye (MP) to present their medals.

We will continue to follow Maclean's progress as he strives to qualify for the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
