Gogetdem Wheelchair Racing Club was established in August 2012 to improve the lives of disabled persons, especially the disabled youth in rural areas using sports as a tool to create opportunities in order to empower them to live fulfilling lives.
Gogetdem Wheelchair Racing Club will fulfill its aim by:
a. Lobbying for up-and-coming athletes;
b. Training the disabled youth on how to use racing wheelchairs;
c. Providing accommodation for athletes to camp and train together;
d. Exposing athletes to both local and international competitions;
e. Seeking for sponsorship to travel with athletes; and
f. Working in collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee to promote Paralympic sports in the country.
To promote access to quality life, change the public perception about disabled persons and develop wheelchair racing athletes in Ghana.
